Inside the Modball Rally mixing supercars, stunning ‘party girls’ and thrilling Euro nightclubs
The annual Rally sees owners of the best supercars take part in a week-long convoy across Europe - and they get to party with the "stunning" Modballs girls
THE Modball Rally promises motorists the chance of a lifetime to join a convoy of flashy cars in a journey across Europe.
Accompanied by a host of "stunning party girls" and stops at some of of the continent's best nightclubs, it's the ultimate week-long celebration of motoring's finest.
Organisers boast of cars worth hundreds of thousands of pounds “taking over Europe” on a journey from London to Vienna via Paris, Lyons, Monaco and Venice.
But no more than 25 miles into French terroritory in this year's Rally, two Brit motorists were stopped by police for speeding.
According to The Times, a 51-year-old driver of a £250,000 Ferrari 488 Spider was caught doing 165mph at a toll on the A26 - more than twice the speed limit.
A second driver was also caught doing 127mph in his McLaren 720S, and both were banned from driving in France for six months.
Four other motorists driving two Mercedes C63 AMGs, a BMW X6 and a Nissan GTR were also stopped and fined between €90 (£80) and €750 (£660).
According to the Rally's website, drivers are not encouraged to race in the event - but plenty still compete to reach the daily destinations first.
Drivers pay a minimum of £3,000 to take part in the event, with just 180 spaces available.
Modball takes entries from drivers of any car as long as it has at least two modifications.
Along with luxury supercars, the convoy can include anything from movie cars and fire engines to tour buses, monster trucks and limousines.
The Rally is allegedly based on an American road race from the 1981 film The Cannonball Run.
But organisers maintain that Modball is simply a chance for owners of high-performance cars to “drive all day and party all night”, and that it isn't a race.
Each night, drivers stop at luxury hotels and dine in the finest restaurants.
They then head out to the best clubs in the area, accompanied by the organiser's own group of “stunning party girls”.
The Modball Rally is in its 12th year, having been founded by University of Hertfordshire graduate, Jon Joseph Bourgerie in 2007.
