Britain’s rudest number plate has been BANNED after going on sale for £6,000
IF YOU planned on being the owner of Britain's rudest and most infamous number plate, your window of opportunity has closed.
The outrageous registration has been removed from the market after being banned by the DVLA.
Formerly on sale with private number plate suppliers Absolute Reg, the explicit CU11 NNT plate was given a value of £6,000 after it slipped through the DVLA prohibited list in 2016.
But its ban-dodging days are now over, as it has been ruled as too rude for the road.
The Government licencing agency confirmed that the plate was "no longer in circulation” as a legitimate registration, forcing Absolute Reg to pull down its listing.
CU11 NNT attracted a lot of attention from keen licence plate enthusiasts, and even the sellers were amazed that it had remained legal.
When the company first acquired the plate last year, Absolute Reg managing director Jake Smith said: "We've seen a few weird and wonderful plates in our time but this one takes the biscuit - it's very unusual for a plate like this to be available.
"I think it's fair to say this plate will probably attract a certain type of person, someone with a definite sense of humour, and we're sure there will be a lot of interest.
"Even more so because of how rare it is."

Prior to the CUII NNT plate being removed, it may have been the most shocking legal registration in the country, but it certainly wasn't the most expensive.
Elusive plates can attract big price tags with online re-sellers, who make the most of those that slip through the net.
Last month we reported on the MR13 UTT plate, which is up for sale for just under a half million pounds, while the hilarious PEN 15 plate could fetch as much as £110,000 with the right buyer.
