Incredible McLaren Senna spied on UK roads – nine months before £750k hypercar is due to be delivered

The amazing Senna model - the wildest and most powerful McLaren ever - has been snapped testing on the M25. The £750,000 hypercar is named after legendary Brazilian F1 driver Ayrton Senna.

THE incredible new McLaren has been spied on UK roads for the first time - almost nine months before it'll be delivered.

The £750,000 Senna hypercar was snapped a few miles from the factory on the M25 but owners won't get behind the wheel until late 2018.

Named after the legendary Brazilian F1 driver, just 500 of the most extreme McLaren ever will be made.

The 789bhp monster claims "neck-snapping" acceleration with top speed over 200mph and a 0-60mph time likely to dip below three seconds.

The prototype spied testing - fitted with a 4.0-litre V8 - was all in black and featured the huge tilting spoiler and bright red brake calipers.

Barely visible in these snaps but confirmed by original launch photos are the see-through doors.

There are also three exhausts that sit above a giant rear diffuser.

McLaren confirmed the car was being driven back from a test facility to the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking.

Super-rich petrolheads have already snapped up 499 of the Senna models with the final one auctioned off for £2million.

Profits raised will go towards the charity foundation of the three-time F1 world champ.

Senna, regarded as one of the finest ever drivers, raced for the McLaren F1 team from 1988 until 1993, winning the world championship on three occasions.

The McLaren Senna is a natural successor to the iconic McLaren F1 from the mid-90s.

It weights just 1,198kg with an entirely carbon-fibre body and the adjustable rear wing to aid track performance.

Despite its racing pedigree, the McLaren still gets a huge central touchscreen and other "luxuries" like door handles, window switches and engine start button are mounted on the roof.
