JAGUAR'S wild 200mph super saloon has smashed the Nurburgring lap record.
The XE SV Project 8 lapped the famous Nordschleife track in seven minutes 21 seconds - and the video shows what an inch perfect run it was.
Hitting apex after apex and hooking up a stunning run across the 12.9-mile circuit is not easy.
But with a pro driver behind the wheel, the Project 8 broke the record for a four door saloon by a whole 11 seconds.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio had owned the previous quickest time around "Green Hell" before the Big Cat showed up.
The £150,000 super saloon is the most powerful ever Jag with a top speed of 200mph and 0-60mph time of just 3.3 seconds.
And this model showcased for the lap record is the one that'll go into production.
You won't see many on the road as just 300 will be built by Jag's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division in Warwickshire.
It's the second Collectors’ Edition vehicle from SVO, following the Jaguar F-Type Project 7 a couple of years ago.
Mark Stanton, SVO Director, said: “The SVO design and engineering team’s mission was to create the most track-focused road-legal Jaguar in history – not only the fastest, but also the most agile.
"As a result, only the roof and front door skins of Project 8’s body are carried-over unaltered from XE and 75 per cent of its mechanical hardware is new.
"This astonishing Nürburgring Nordschleife record validates the success of such extensive changes."
Despite Jag's achievement the lap time is still some way short of the overall quickest time ever around the Nurburgring for a road legal car.
The Porsche 911 GT2 RS lapped in six minutes 47 seconds - more than half a minute faster than the Jag.
