A classic 1950s Bentley S1 Continental Sport Saloon owned by Sir Elton John AND Lord Sugar could sell for £500,000 at auction

The old Bentley was sold by music legend Sir Elton to Lord Sugar and The Apprentice star said he'd been ripped off over the price. But it's now set to sell for more than triple that at auction

A CLASSIC Bentley car that belonged to Sir Elton John and Lord Alan Sugar has emerged for sale.

The 1959 Bentley S1 Continental Sport Saloon was bought by Sir Elton in 1976 and he owned it for 25 years before selling it to The Apprentice star in 2001.

Lord Sugar later admitted he overpaid for the silver Bentley, claiming he had been "done up like a kipper" by the singer.

The millionaire businessman owned the luxury motor for six years, covering around 1,000 miles in the process, before selling it on for £145,000 in 2007.

It is now being sold at auction for over three times that amount, with experts giving it a pre-sale estimate of up to £500,000.

During the time Sir Elton owned the Bentley he was one of the most successful performers in the world, with hits like I'm Still Standing, Candle in the Wind and The Circle of Life all being released in that period.
