‘One-off’ £1.5million Pagani Zonda supercar capable of 200mph is wrecked in Sussex crash
The Italian-made car is believed to have been travelling in a convoy of luxury motors when the smash took place
THE driver of a ‘one-off’ £1.5m supercar has been left with a hefty repair bill after the supercar smashed into a crash barrier.
The Pagani Zonda, which is capable of reaching speeds of more than 200mph, was left wrecked after crashing on the A27 in Tangmere, Sussex, at around 7.30am on Saturday.
It is believed the car was driving as part of a convoy of luxury motors at the time of the crash.
The driver was not injured but police say the ‘one-off’ Italian-made car suffered ‘significant damage’.
Sussex Police are now appealing for witnesses.
PC Peter De Silvo said: “We are hoping someone would remember as it is so distinctive.
“We are appealing to anyone who saw this car driving on the A27.
“Thankfully the driver of the Pagani was uninjured.”
The convoy is believed to have been travelling from Worthing to Chichester but no other cars were at the scene when police arrived.
Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting log 300 of 21/10.
