AS British roads become more crowded more drivers want to cover themselves if they become involved in an accident.
This has led to a rise in the number of in-car dashcams and here is a round up of six most shocking videos caught by motorists.
1. Peugeot driver veers out of control around a roundabout before smashing into a shop window
In June shocking dashcam footage captured the moment a car veered out of control and ended up ploughing through a shop window in Devon.
The driver can be seen cutting up another motorist at a roundabout before losing control, mounting a curb and plunging straight into an estate agents.
2. Driver caught doing a u-turn on a busy A-road before driving head-on towards an oncoming car
Terrifying footage showed a road rage driver doing a U-turn on a busy A-road before coming back on the wrong side and ramming a car carrying a dad and two young children in Norfolk.
Moments earlier the driver aggressively overtook the family and slammed on the brakes just feet in front, forcing the dad to make an emergency stop during the incident which was reported back in March.
3. Mobility scooter stuns motorists by diving on a busy ring road
A motorist was left horrified when she saw a mobility scooter travelling along a busy ring road.
Linda Miller was driving along the 40mph five-lane road in Derby when she spotted a person in a high-visibility jacket trundling towards a turn-off in Derbyshire in March.
4. Lorry driver forces drivers to swerve into ditches in order to avoid a collision
Four drivers in South Africa were forced to swerve of the road to avoid a head-on collision when two lorry drivers battled it out during a jaw-dropping overtaking.
Motorist Rudi Viljoen captured the heartstopping incident on his car-cam when the trucker on the right tries to overtake a fellow trucker despite it being a busy single lane road.

5. Driving instructor releases footage of impatient drivers who would rather risk their lives than sit behind a learner

6. Reckless Audi swerves in front of a lorry before slamming on the brakes
A reckless Audi driver was caught on camera in April speeding in front of a lorry before braking harshly to force the truck to slow down – to seemingly prove a point.
Leighton Davies caught the moment the Audi rushes by before immediately braking and forcing the driver behind to quickly react in Chester.
He said the tipper had been overtaking him when the Audi driver became impatient and rushed past both of them.
