Ultra rare Aston Martin convertible to sell for £1million is identical to models owned by Prince Charles, Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney

IF you've ever wanted to know what it's like to ride like British royalty - as well as a number of pop icons - then wonder no more.
An incredibly rare Aston Martin DB6 Vantage Volante is up for sale - with owners of other models in the fleet including Prince Charles, Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney and Twiggy - and it could be yours.
That is, of course, if you have a spare million quid.
The British luxury car manufacturer produced just a 29 convertible versions of their iconic DB6 in the late 1960s.
This 1968-built model was formerly owned by media baron Sidney Bernstein, and remained in his family for almost half a century after it was passed down to son David.

Boasting a 4L, 300hp engine, Berstein's model has just 39,000 miles on the clock and remains in pristine condition for its age.
In advertising the car, Duke's of Dorchester auctions described it as "the ultimate DB6 Vantage Volante".
"What makes this car so special is its single family ownership and its remarkable originality," the auctioneer said.
"The interior is wonderfully patinated, the engine bay is original and the engine remains leaded.
"Today, collectors are finding it increasingly difficult to acquire cars that remain original and unrestored from the day they left the factory.
"This is one such car, and it represents a unique opportunity to purchase one of the rarest post-war Aston Martins."
The convertible luxury car will go under the hammer on June 9, with an estimated value between £650,000 and £1million.
