Classic 60s Porsche 911 with just TWO MILES on the clock to go under the hammer for £250,000
Having barely been driven, every inch of this 50-year-old Porsche is in mint condition, even down to its elephant hide seats
IT'S not often you'll find a classic Porsche 911 whose owner has resisted the strong temptation to take it out on the open road.
But one such car does exist, and it's on offer to the highest bidder.
A 1968 911S is due to be auctioned off by Historics later this month with virtually no road history despite its age.
, the 50-year-old sports car has just two miles on its odometer, and is in almost the same mint condition as it was when it first rolled off the production line half a century ago.
A government MOT history check of the vehicle confirmed the Porsche's low mileage, and showed a valid roadworthy certificate from May 9 this year.
Originally the first privately owned 911S in the UK, this model stayed with its initial owner from its manufacture date in 1967 right up until 2000.
The car has exchanged hands on just one other occasion since then, with the current seller just the third owner of the vehicle.

Despite its incredibly low mileage, the 911S has seen a fair amount of restoration work done to exterior paintwork, interior trimmings, and has had its engine and gearbox refurbished and rebuilt.
It still contains original elephant hide seats, and runs on the production line date-stamped Fuchs wheels.
Historics describe the sports car as being "as close to the specification and condition when she left the factory 50 years ago as you could expect".
Considering its immaculate condition and almost non-existent mileage, the Porsche has been given an estimated value of £220,000 to £250,000.
It will go under the hammer on May 20 at Historics' Ascot Racecourse auction.
