Major car brand unveils ‘God’s Eye’ self-driving technology and DeepSeek AI costing just £7,750 for ALL of its motors

A MAJOR car brand has unveiled a "God's Eye" self-driving technology and DeepSeek AI for all of its motors - even those costing just £7,750.

The development is set to rival car giants like Elon Musk's Tesla, where the technology is currently only available in luxury vehicles.

Chinese EV car manufacturer BYD's driver-assistance system (ADAS), called God's Eye, will be fit into at least 21 models, reports CNBC.

This even includes its budget cars such at the Seagull hatchback, which costs as little as £7,724.

BYD also said it was integrating AI from Chinese startup DeepSeek into some of its more advanced models.

Using a combination of AI, cameras and sensors the new technology is expected to "democratise" the EV landscape .

Features will include automated navigation, AI powered parking and self-driving functions.

Speaking about God's Eye, BYD's founder Wang Chanfu said it "will mark a new era when all customers can access smart driving."

He added that these features would no longer be reserved for an "unattainable luxury" but would be an "essential tool" like seatbelts or airbags.

BYD is the world's largest EV brand, just edging above Tesla.

The Chinese company has benefited from massive state subsidies and access to the nation's huge market, allowing it to offer its motors at heavily reduced prices.

Late last year it turned its attention to the European market and has been rising up the sales tables since its debut in 2022.

This year, the firm is hoping to significantly expand its presence in Europe, battling Elon Musk's Tesla in the EV market.

But it's not just the electric car sales the companies are competing over.

Late last year, BYD implemented a creepy 500-strong robot workforce.

The army of bots could be seen inspecting BYD cars as they were being built and carrying heavy boxes around the giant warehouses - with no humans in sight.

Chinese industrial giant UBTech designed the robots to specialise in manual labour so they could be used in the workplace.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk announced he would be unleashing humanoids into his Tesla factories next year before they're made available to other companies in 2026.

Musk boasted that they can do almost anything including babysit children, walk a dog, mow lawns, get the groceries or be a friend.

In footage shared online, the faceless bot, dubbed an "autonomous assistant" or a "humanoid friend" by Tesla, can be seen picking up a parcel at the doorstep.

Before going on to water plants as a human family enjoys their time together.
