A LUXURY carmaker has launched a budget hybrid with a range of "premium" features.

The new motor is set to rival the manufacturer's own electric model and will be hitting showrooms in the UK soon.

Alfa Romeo has revealed it's adding the Junior Ibrida to its UK range and will be on the market for £27,895.

With high-end features including massage seats, privacy glass, and ambient lighting, the motor can off you a taste of luxury without having to be bitter about the price tag.

It's offered at a whopping £6,000 less than the entry-level EV version which is available form £33,895.

On the Alfa Romeo website, the car is described as "Italian elegance in motion".

The description states: "Experience elevated hybrid car driving with precision and style in the Alfa Romeo Junior Ibrida, boasting superior performance and unparalleled craftsmanship.

"With its spacious interior and cutting-edge technology, the new sporty compact hybrid car is primed to boost your everyday life."

It comes in a plethora of chrome colours includign Brera Red, White Sempione, Avory Galleria, Black Tortona, Blue Navigli and Grey Arese.

The Ibrida is able to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 8.9 seconds and produces a striking 134bhp.

With a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, an electric motor and a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, its compact without compromising on speed.

This 48V mild-hybrid setup is tried and trusted as it has the same layout as the Fiat 600, Citroen C4, Peugeot 2008, and Vauxhall Mokka - just to name a few.

It offers a boot capacity of 415 litres, a spacious interior and a dashboard littered with tech.

Hopping on the AI train, the dashboard provides an enhanced voice assistant powered by ChatGPT.

This is for "seamless interacting and convenience" according to the manufacturer.

It also offers swanky lighting, a 10.25in driver display, and a 10.25in central touchscreen with phone mirroring for Apple and Android handsets.

For those who want a ride fit for a King, there is a "premium" pack available which features privacy glass, heated and massaging seats, a black bodykit and a leather steering wheel.

Alfa Romeo, known for their sports-oriented vehicles have announced that the motor is not available to order in the UK yet but will be available at some point in 2025.
