THE best-selling small cars of 2025 so far have been revealed – and one iconic motor has slipped off the leaderboard.
We’re just over a month into the year, but the top ten small motors, identified by Autocar, have already been crowned.
In a surprising turn of events, Vauxhall has failed to make it into the top ten.
The phenomenally popular Vauxhall Corsa is a staple for new drivers – but the family favourite motor hasn’t made the list.
Due to its affordable pricing, low running costs, and safety features this beloved model basks in the reputation as everyone’s “First Car.”
Despite its cultural appeal and widespread popularity the Corsa has taken a backseat with a range of electrics stepping in.
1. RENAULT 5
This iconic hatchback is arguably the brand’s most successful model and is known for its compactness.
Introduced in the 70s the Renault 5 has been hailed for its design, affordability and practicality.
It’s a supermini that offers 4m of reliable Renault motor and a sizable boot.
2. RENAULT CLIO
Sticking with the trusted Renault, the Clio has won numerous awards and was even crowned European Car of the Year twice.
