LEE O'Donnell has revolutionised the world of the Monster Truck with one of the most impressive stunts you will ever see on colossal wheels.

The American pulled off a world-first front-flip in his VP Racing Fuel sponsored 'Mad Scientist' truck at the 2017 Monster Jam World Finals Freestyle Championship over the weekend.

Coming to the end of his run, with just 10 seconds on the clock, O'Donnell produced a back-flip off the edge of the course before setting up for his finale.

Launching off the middle table-top, the Mad Scientist landed with its front wheels in the air, and continued accelerating on two tyres towards a steep ramp.

As the truck's back wheels hit the jump, the Mad Scientist was sent into a fast, forward spin while shooting high into the air.

Nearly over-rotating, O'Donnell then managed to regain control of the truck, only to deliberately flip it upside down again in celebration.

The manoeuvre secured O'Donnell first place in the championship, and no doubt permanently inked his name in the sport's history books.

With the majority of the vehicles in the championship weighing in at well over 10,000 pounds, the fact that the drivers are able to launch them into the air and direct them so easily around the track is incredibly impressive in itself.

But the level of skill required for O'Donnell to flip his mammoth motor over the bonnet and regain control is simply awe-inspiring.
