If you're from Lancing in West Sussex, you're in for a treat as it's been named the easiest place to take on the road.

Learner drivers had a 61.4 percent pass rate in the coastal spot.

It's bad news for people taking their tests in Wolverhampton as just 32.4 percent of drivers pass.

Since the pandemic, there has been a massive backlog of driving tests in the UK.

And number crunchers have now collated pass figures, taken from government data, for all UK test centres.

Law Trucks created a Driving Test report which has ranked the most popular test centres in the UK based on their average pass rate over a year period between April 2023 and March 2024.

Speke in Liverpool is the second worst place at 33.1 percent, followed by Featherstone in the West Midlands 33.6 percent.

Chingford stands at 36.1 percent and Norris Green in Liverpool is 36.3 percent.

After Lancing, the second easiest place is Ipswich at 59.9 percent, and third is Norwich’s Peachman Way at 59.2 percent.

Farnborough in Hants comes in fourth at 58.4 percent followed by Lee on the Solent 57.5 percent.

Goodmayes in London conducted the most tests over this period, with 26,042 in one year, also bagging the highest number of passes at 11,677.

A spokesperson for Law Trucks said: “Since the pandemic, there has been a massive backlog on driving tests in the UK where most test centres now having a three to four month waiting period at least.

“This adds extra pressure on learners to pass first time.”
