A CAMPERVAN enthusiast has given viewers a look at the UK's worst-rated motorhome park after bravely spending the night there.

Will Robey ignored the horror stories about boy racers and high prices to check out the unusual site.

Documenting the experience on his YouTube channel, Will added "a bit of spice" to his camping experience by picking from the bottom of the review list.

Checking out Park4Night, a smartphone app that helps users locate campervan spots, he examined some of the one and two star rated locations near him.

Eventually, he found his eye drawn to one comment in particular which read: "These two car parks are popular with teenagers visiting with their sports cars at all hours of the night.

"They race around the car park, do handbrake turns and occasionally have accidents.

"On one occasion they threw a rock at my van, causing a dent.

"Parking is not free [either] - there's a pay and display machine."

Resolving to try his luck overnight at the park-up, Will set off in his trusty self-converted van.

Upon arrival, he found himself confronted with a parking charge sign, informing him that he would have to pay £1.50 an hour or £6 for the whole day.

But beyond that, he found the spot in surprisingly decent nick compared to the reviews.

He joked: "I can see why boy racers would come here.

"It's a nice big gravel car park, perfect for doing some handbrake turns like the review said."

However, there was one problem that he found to be worse than the threat of rowdy teens or costly permits.

The car park was unfortunately situated directly under a flight path, presumably from the nearby Gatwick Airport, which made getting a proper night's sleep a bit tricky.

Nonetheless, he went on: "For all the park-ups I've stayed in in my life, this isn't bad.

"Can't lie it's a little bit of a letdown, I wanted to see a bit of mischief.

"The only thing I could complain about...is the road noise."

It comes after a number of drivers complained of being threatened with "outrageous" fines for parking outside their own homes.
