A BATTERY-powered kids’ toy car is towed away from a busy high street on the back of a flatbed lorry.
The ride-on Mini Cooper — about a 35th the size of the real thing and with a top speed of less than 2mph — was dwarfed by the full-size recovery vehicle.
It was not clear why the £200 mini motor, which has a six-volt battery that runs for up to two hours, had to be picked up from posh Kensington High Street, West London.
But the sight amused onlookers.
One commiserated with the driver, saying: “He just wanted to go to the shop for a packet of Fruit Pastilles and a lolly.”
A person joked: “It wasn’t Ulez-compliant.”

Another quipped: “Sadiq Khan ain’t having it.”
A fourth said: “Did he rev the exhaust too loud?”
Another passerby said: “Little man had no car insurance.”
