I bought a wrecked ex-Amazon van for £2k – I’ll turn it into a cosy camper in under two weeks
Their mission took multiple twists as the countdown to day 10 drew closer
TWIN brothers have attempted to convert a dodgy old van into a cosy camper in 10 days.
YouTuber Will Robey, host of Will's Whereabouts, bought the ex-Amazon delivery van for £2,000 in a bid to build a campervan in time to drive to Germany for the Euros with his brother.

Will described the plan as "literally Dumb and Dumber converting a van in 10 days with no experience".
After scouring around for a bargain buy, Will was advised to find a Ford Transit.
Eventually, he stumbled across a 2012 model that had chalked up 200,000 miles.
A quick viewing convinced the brothers the old bashed-up vehicle would suffice, despite Will describing the seller as a "dodgy bloke".

However, it had some serious mechanical problems and the interior was "very bare and barren".
The buy put the brothers in a race against the clock.
They quickly installed insulation and pieced together a wiring model in the garage to figure out how to install an electric system.
Will bought a switch panel from Amazon for £25 and proposed to run the electrical system off a single power station, running a cable from a fuse box in the van.

A fan, fridge and USB sockets would be connected to the fuse box and then to a switch.
Will said: "Fingers crossed I've done the wiring correctly."

By midday on day four of the 10-day challenge, they installed the electrical cables and wiring.
Then they shaped a wooden floor, installing it in two halves with "as much glue as we possibly can".
Meanwhile, a mechanic worked on the van to service and fix the engine and brakes.
The problem was the engine kept faltering, and Will began to have second thoughts.
He conceded: "Maybe I am an idiot for buying this van in the first place."

Sadly, the work on the Ford Transit was ultimately done in vain.
In the last scene of Will's recent video, taken "a few days later", the brothers are in a van and they are on the way to Germany - but it's not the Transit.
Will says: "We are on the way to Germany, the road to Euros is underway.
"As you can tell, the Ford Transit has not made it. We are 47 minutes away from Dover."
The plan was to then take the ferry to Calais and drive onto Germany.
The pair were in a van they seemed to have called "Mary" - who they said "saved the day".
They've promised to show viewers all about Mary in coming weeks.
Will said: "Mary, she's got a new look to her and I'll show you all that when we're in Germany.
"But for right now, let's get to Dover and get the road to Euros underway.

"There's no plan, we're just driving.
"All we know is the Transit hasn't made it. But Mary has saved the day. And absolutely, this is going to be one hell of an adventure for the next four weeks."
