A CLASSIC Aston Martin has gone up for sale for an eye-watering sum of £227,000 after being discovered in a barn.
But the stunning motor could be worth much, much more after a thorough restoration - complete with new parts.
An Aston Martin DB4 from 1962 could reportedly be worth over £780,000 when it’s in top condition - after being discovered gathering dust in a barn at an unknown location in New York, United States, for over 30 years.
This example of the iconic motor is said to be unique, as it maintains its matching engine numbers and has not been previously restored - which means all of its original features remain intact.
The DB4’s intriguing story comes as a result of the previous owner returning from Vietnam in the 1970s.
Returning to work at a local car body shop, he was asked by the shop's manager if he could help with a repair on his own car.

After working on the car over the course of a few weeks, his boss gifted him the DB4 upon completion.
He then had the motor towed to his home, where he planned on restoring it.
However, the timeless classic remained parked in the barn for the next three decades.
The DB4 model featured a powerful 3.7-litre engine and was the world's first production car to hit 100 mph in under 30 seconds.
