Dacia is opening a huge new store to showcase the new Spring EV

Dacia is launching the new Spring supermini this summer, with pre-orders running from June 4.

To display the model, the company is setting up a flagship showroom in West London.

The store, located at West Cross Industrial Park in Brentford, will open its doors on the same day.

At £14,995 it will be the cheapest all-electric model on the market in the UK, well under the £26,000 Vauxhall Corsa.

It's technically beaten by the Citroen Ami at just over £8,000, but that model is so small that it is legally categorised as a quadricycle rather than a car.

Customers will be able to flock to the site to get the first glance of the Spring, which has so far only been seen in preview pictures.

The space will be powered by solar energy, while fittings and fixtures will be made from recycled plastic, carpets and tyres.

Interested Brits will welcome between 2pm and 7pm to check out the new motor.

There will also be presentations about the car run by product experts between 4pm and 6pm.

Luke Broad, Dacia brand director for the UK, said: "Combining the official opening of Spring orders with our flagship retailer on 4 June reaffirms Dacia’s commitment to the UK.

"We invite everyone to join us and can’t wait to give visitors an exclusive first look at our game-changing EV."

You can pre-order the Spring by placing a £99 deposit on Dacia's website.

And while you do so, you can receive £250 to go towards accesories, charging costs or installing a home charger.
