Inside Adam Peaty’s car collection including Olympic champion’s Cupra & Aston Martin… and dream motor he wants to buy

OLYMPIC triple gold medallist Adam Peaty has an impressive car collection to go alongside his many swimming gongs.
The generational breaststroke swimmer has spoken about his garage and some of the incredible motors that he's previously driven.
Speaking to , 29-year-old has owned a Volkswagen Golf, several types of Mercedes, an Aston Martin, and a Jeep.
His first car, however, was a Renault Clio when he was 17, which he said constantly broke down.
He then moved to a Volkswagen Golf and then on to a Mercedes-AMG A45, both which he modified.
That started a love affair with the powerful German cars with a "big boy engine" and he bought two other AMGs.
He firstly bought the AMG C63 S Coupe, before moving on to the AMG C63 Coupe, then the AMG GT R, and finally a Aston Martin Vantage.
Then he bought a Jeep Wrangler alongside the Aston Martin and modified that with a lift kit, carbon fibre fenders, a new grille, new bumpers, and 36-inch tyres.
He said: "It’s got the off-road looks and ability but I’ll never use it for anything other than going shopping, I’m one of those guys at the moment unfortunately."
But then in 2020 he had his first child and sold the Aston Martin for something more family friendly and that could fit in regular car parks - a Tesla Model X P100D.
He said: "That is crazy fast. I’ve now got that, a Cupra Formentor and the Jeep Wrangler. Somehow I’ve ended up with three cars."
Peaty is an ambassador for Spanish car maker Cupra and their first fully electric car, the Born.
He regularly posts ads with the car on his Instagram, which has 620,000 followers.
Speaking to , Peaty said: “Not a single day goes by where I don’t push myself to reach new levels. I’m focused on an old school approach of going 1% better in everything I do.
"If I’m to set an immortal time in the pool, every task in life needs to be completed with this unbeatable mindset to keep me focused on the bigger picture."
"I’m a big fan of electric vehicles, and the Born’s performance-orientated design makes it feel like it shares my competitive edge."
He also told Top Gear what his dream cars are: a Mercedes-Benz Gullwing 300SL, an Aston Martin Vantage GT12, and a Cupra Born.
Peaty was unbeaten for eight years in the 100m breaststroke from 2014 to 2022 before taking a break from swimming to focus on his mental health.
Peaty broke his foot in May 2022 and was rushed back for the Commonwealth Games two months later.
He subsequently finished fourth, his worst result in eight years.
After the Games he struggled with the breakdown of his relationship with Eirianedd Munro, the mother of his young son.
OLYMPIC champion Adam Peaty has bravely opened up about his battles with alcoholism and depression.
Peaty, 29, burst onto the scene at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, where he won gold in the 100m breaststroke and 4x100m medley.
The Staffordshire-born superstar has since won three Olympic gold medals and two silvers.
But throughout his career Peaty has continued to be open and honest about his battles with mental health.
After taking a step back from the sport to focus on his wellbeing, he has rediscovered his passion for swimming and returned to the pool in preparation for this year's Olympics in Paris.
He qualified for the games on Tuesday after winning the British 100m men's breaststroke title.
