World’s first flying CAR could soon take to the skies and whizz along at 120mph as footage shows daring test run
THE world's first flying car could soon be available to buy as footage shows it flying at up to 120mph.
The AirCar is made in Slovakia by company KleinVision has featured on The Grand Tour and the channel of a famous YouTuber.
The motor can convert into a plane with foldable wings and a propeller on the back and reach speeds of 120mph at 8,000 feet high.
It only needs 300m of runway to get off the ground and into the sky.
It runs on petrol-pump fuel and has a 160bhp BMW engine.
While there are other flying car prototypes, the AirCar is the first motor to take off form one airport and land at a second.

AirCar featured on one episode of The Grand Tour where Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May watched it take off and land.
Watching the car fly, Hammond says: "I've never actually seen that."
Footage shows the car flying at dusk with its wheels still turning while it moves through the air.
In a Mr Beast clip the first billionaire YouTuber wondered what happened if you were being chased by police and took off in the air.
He said: "What happens if they start following you with a helicopter, but then they're like 'damn we have to get cars again'."
KleinVision co-founder Anton Zajac previously said: “AirCar is no longer just a proof of concept… it has turned science fiction into a reality.”
Flying cars have been heavily trailed in TV shows and movies for several decades.
The AirCar also appears to be very close to being ready for consumers.
The company has just signed a deal for an exclusive licence for sales in China with a Chinese flying car company.
Flying ‘super car’ unveiled at CES
A FLYING car has been unveiled in a world-first international debut at CES 2024 in Las Vegas.
The car has been designed by XPeng Aeroht, which refers to itself as the largest flying car manufacturer in Asia.
The Chinese company has called the car the "eVTOL flying supercar."
We exclusively spoke to the co-founder, vice president, and chief designer of Xpeng Aeroht, Wang Tan, about the need for flying cars in the future.
He told The U.S. Sun: "Humans are 3D animals but the transportation is 2D.
"Everybody wants to fly actually and to have another view, another angle, to see the gorgeous view."
He added that users will be able to beat traffic and fly out of congestion zones.
Tan said he's flown in another flying vehicle that he designed but hasn't been in the eVTOL flying supercar as it's still being worked on.
CES attendees witnessed a live demonstration of propellers shooting from the car.
