A MOTOR enthusiast has revealed how a broken luxury car he bought for just £18,000 was actually worth a lot more.
Car lover Sreten bought a high-mileage 2013 Maserati Quattroporte thinking it was an average lower-trim model, but the car turned out to be a goldmine.
The enthusiast, who runs a YouTube channel called M539 Restorations, said he was looking to buy a different motor other than his usual favourite BMW.
He revealed that the iconic Maserati Quattroporte was on his list for a long time.
He quipped: "I've been meaning to branch out and broaden my horizons with another brand for quite some time."
"Maserati Quattroporte has been on my 'I want to buy that broken list'."

While searching for the motor, Sreten came across a website that listed a lower-trim variant with a V6 engine.
But when he checked the engine, he realised the motor was not just a common Maserati Quattroporte - but a high-spec GTS variant with a turbocharged V8 engine.
He said in the video: "I was not interested in the V6 model, but upon looking at the pictures closely, I realised it was not a measly V6 but the top trim Quattroporte GTS that can pump out 530 horsepower."
The Quattroporte GTS is a much more powerful variant of the regular Quattroporte that was between 2009 and 2013.

Sreten shared that while the rare motor had clocked an insane mileage of 187,000 miles, it was listed for just £18,000 - an extremely low price for such a supercar.
He said: "It was so cheap I decided to gamble and went for that buy."
"The cheapest [GTS] I could find in Europe was listed for £30,000 this one was listed at £18,000.
