I passed my driving test then won £60k BMW for less than a fiver, hours later – but I had to make ‘the hardest decision’
A YOUNG driver was left stunned when he won a £60,000 BMW for less than a fiver, just hours after he passed his driving test.
Carmine Sarro-Haire bought a £3 ticket for a competition run by and walked away with the prize of a lifetime.
In a video uploaded to Instagram, he explained: "So 8am I had my driving test, passed that at ten past and I received the call at like quarter past.
"My life changed, pretty much. It's nuts.
"I still can't get over it - the whole way up here my heart was pounding."
Walking into the showroom, he was informed that he was now the proud owner of a flash new BMW M2, worth £60,000.
The 460 horsepower sedan is from Beemer's flagship M range, providing sports car performance mixed with luxury comfort.
With a 4.1 second 0-60 time and a top speed of 155 mph, it's certainly quite the machine to have as a first car.

However, Carmine found himself faced with his "most difficult decision" ever despite the joyous news.
He explained that he had looked into insuring the M2 and was facing premiums of over £1500 a month given his new driver status.
Ultimately, the high cost of insurance, coupled with his desire to "fund a good future" for his young daughter, Carmine had to give up the car.
He groaned: "I would love to take the car but I can't
"My little one, I need to build a good future for her.
"She's two years old so I want to fund a good life for her in the future.
"I've been praying for something good to happen and it has.
"It's hard to believe, but if you belive you can achieve.
"You've changed my life."
Thankfully, he didn't walk away with nothing, as he was able to opt to receive the cash value of the car instead.
