Billionaire ‘Batman’ mogul ‘nobody has really ever seen’ owns more than 120 car dealerships in the US plus lavish homes
A BILLIONAIRE who is recognized as a major force in the auto industry has left an everlasting imprint on the car dealership scene despite his exceptionally reclusive nature.
Terry Taylor, 74, is an acclaimed entrepreneur in the industry and founder of the Automotive Management Services Inc (AMSI), which oversees over 120 dealerships across the US.
The mogul had never sat for an interview before this year.
"He's like Batman," one source told a reporter who had been trying to reach him for weeks.
"You hear about him and you admire his work, but nobody has really ever seen him in real life."
The entrepreneur is hardly ever seen in public and is known to be quite hard to even get ahold of.
"I know you’ve contacted basically everybody I know," he told a Forbes reporter.
"So, I figure it’s time you hear from me."
The mogul's estimated net worth is estimated to be worth $1.9 billion, according to Forbes.
Most of his is said to be tied up in his estimated 75 percent stake in AMSI.

Taylor's business model encourages ownership by offering the general manager of a dealership an equity stake that promotes a sense of devotion and commitment.

AMSI currently ranks as the fourth-largest dealership group in the U.S.
The automotive group has its sights set on expanding to over 200 dealerships.
