RENAULT has revealed the name of its brand-new 'fuel saving' hybrid which will compete with the best selling Nissan.
The Symbioz is the car giant's new SUV and will feature petrol and hybrid model versions.
The latest teaser image for the car shows a motor not a millions away from the all-electric Renault Scenic.
Experts believe that Renault have launched the Symbioz to compete with the best selling Qashqai.
Nissan's legendary SUV sold 43,000 models in the UK last year, overtaking the Corsa.
Nissan builds a car every minute at Sunderland — and every month there’s a £1 raffle for staff to win a Qashqai or Juke.
The Symbioz , set to be revealed in the spring, will be pitched towards buyers looking for a price competitive SUV like the Qashqai.
Sylvia Dos Santos, Head of Naming Strategy at Renault, said: "For this new compact family car, we wanted a name with human significance, expressing the close bond between a family and their car.
"The name Symbioz perfectly illustrates life with our vehicle, a place where passengers are as one with their vehicle and the environment.
She added: "Driving a Symbioz mean travelling aboard a high-tech vehicle and enjoying an enhanced on-board experience that is open and connected to the outside world."
