THE UK's most expensive personalised plates of 2023 have been revealed with the priciest fetching over £120,000.
Drivers of prestige cars are now prepared to spend obscene sums on private registration plates that stand out from the crowd.
Some owners are happy to pay six figure sums for plates that match their car or own name.
Now private number plate retailer Absolute Reg has shared the most expensive vehicle registration plates that UK motorists bought in 2023.
The most expensive plate of the year so far is H1NDU which went for £112,010. This was followed by £106,090 paid for 1DEO.
The most expensive plate in the UK is 25 0, which went for £518,480. The owner was thought to have bought the licence plate to go on his Ferrari 250 GT SWB.
This was followed by X 1 -which went for £502,500, and then G 1 which was sold for £500,000.
