A LOTUS sports car 'in outstanding condition' driven by two F1 legends is up for auction at a six-figure price.
A stunning Cortina driven by motorsport legends Sir Jackie Stewart and Jim Clark can be yours - and it has a rich racing history.
Offered by , the 1964 British Saloon Car Championship winner is expected to sell for as much as £250,000.
Clark won the 1964 championship in the motor - which went onto acquire a cult status with fans.
The Scotsman roared around Crystal Palace, Oulton Park, Goodwood, Snetterton, Brands Hatch, Aintree and Silverstone along with his team-mate Stewart - resulting in three outright victories and eight class wins in this works team car.
The motor was the dream child of Ford executive Walter Hayes, which Lotus transformed into a potent speed machine.
Sporting the Lotus team livery, the vintage motor has been beautifully restored by Lotus expert Andy Middlehurst before going under the hammer.
Recently, it was exhibited at the Jim Clark Motorsport Museum in Scotland and is fresh from appearances at two Goodwood parades.
The auction house Fiskens said: "Restored by Lotus expert Andy Middlehurst, subsequently in the Tom Walkinshaw collection and that of Cortina-racer Kerry Michael.
"Offered in outstanding order from the stables of a renowned Scots racing driver.
