VOLKSWAGEN'S upcoming EV boast an array of smart features - including two secret storage compartments and a hidden towbar.

VW's electric ID.2 has been reviewed by Autogefuhl in a recent TikTok video, with the German social media team able to get their hands on a concept of the motor years before it hits showrooms.

The VW ID.2 will be the electric answer to the VW's Polo

In the video, Thomas tries out the car for size - showing off its new spacious hidden compartments.

Firstly, in the car's boot, he shows a charging port and a hidden button that reveals a tow hook that pops out of the rear bumper - handy for towing a small caravan.

Additionally, the car expert lifted the boot cover to reveal a large compartment for extra storage.

The video also revealed a hidden compartment underneath the rear seats which drivers can lift to store valuables.

The ID.2 will be the manufacturer's next electric motor and will take inspiration from the famous VW Polo.

It's set to start at under €25,000, or roughly £22,000, and is expected to be launched by the manufacturer by 2026.

The car's interior is made using "higher-class materials" with completely updated seats and larger displays, as well as a sleeker rear that uses a new illumination style to give it "a more German look".

But the highlight of the EV is its futuristic interior - which includes a large infotainment device and display screens.
