FANS have cried "never parallel park again" as Hyundai launched a debut car with wheels that turn 360 degrees and can even drive diagonally.
The Mobion Concept boasts the so called “e-Corner System" which allows it to do 360 degree turns and even drive diagonally.
Basically all four wheels can turn all the way around, allowing the car to do a 360 degree turn. The feature is ideal for parking in built up spaces where space is restricted.
And the so called 'crab drive' feature allows the motor to basically inch sideways. The unusual feature is perfect for moments when the driver is a little too far away from the take-away hatch at the drive-thru.
The secret is technology that integrates braking, steering and
suspension function into the wheel itself along with, most crucially, each wheel's own electric motor.
The Mobis can also project lights on the ground to let other drivers know what its about to do next.
It can also let pedestrians know they’ve been detected by generating crosswalk lights on the floor.
