AN ultra-rare Porsche 918, dubbed the "finest and most lavish" in existence is up for sale for £1.8 million - but can you spot its bizarre paint job quirk?
The current owner has committed a design sin that would be considered unthinkable by many collectors.
The Swiss petrolhead acquired the supercar for just under £700,000.
It is just one of 918 Spyder versions of the model produced between 2014 and 2016.
This one, though, is likely unique given its unusual red-and-white paintwork, with a flame design and racing number on the sides, mimicking one of the most beloved liveries of the previous 917 model.
However, what makes it truly special is the shade of red that was used in the respray.

Rather than opting for Porsche's standard Guards Red colour, the owner went for the iconic Rosso Corsa hue used by the brand's longtime rival Ferrari.
The interior features matching red leather seats with white piping, while the boot is covered in quilted black fabric.
Even the keys have been given the personalised treatment in a red-and-white wrap with bespoke red storage pouches.
It is understood that the customisation added an extra £150,000 cost to the already hefty £670,000 price tag.

Now though, the owner is set to make a tidy profit as the Porsche has gone up for auction with Sotheby's with a predicted price of £1.8 million.
The listing reads: "This is arguably the finest and most lavishly specified 918 Spyder in existence, offered directly from its first and only owner and having been driven less than 500 miles.
