"This is the most terrifying car I have ever driven," Dunn says.

The 11-minute clip begins with Dunn walking the red Peel P50 out in front of the camera with one hand announcing it as the world's smallest car.

The on the Isle of Man and only about 50 were ever made.

The car is just 134cm long, 98cm wide and 100cm high and has a five-litre petrol tank.

"You probably know already know about this off two things. One, it holds the record for the smallest production car.

"But also Jeremy Clarkson. He drove this thing on Top Gear through BBC Television Centre, it was hilarious and as a result, it became quite popular," Dunn says.

Despite its small size, one of the cars sold at auction for £135,000 in 2016.

The P50 doesn't have any kind of gauges like a speedometer, odometer, or fuel tank gauge for the driver to look at.

It produces just four horsepower, doesn't have any windows, and has a tricky gearbox to maneuver.

When Dunn tests the car out he finds that it is liable to roll as it has a high positive camber with the front wheels pointing in at a sharp angle, while the back wheel is the turning wheel.

"This feels like a car that was designed to tip over."

His drive in the little red number looks incredibly bumpy and the American constantly struggles to keep it upright and even change the gear.

"Thanks to the Lane Motor Museum for letting me drive this wonderful, mini death trap."

Commenters were intrigued by how bizarre the small car is.

"I wish there was a documentary that interviewed people who bought these crazy European micro cars in period and actually used them as their everyday transportation," said one.

"As a native UK resident, I can confirm it is the home of some of the quirkiest vehicles ever designed," said another.

Meanwhile, one British man does drive the P50, 31-year-old Alex Orchin from Sussex does his daily chores in his blue model.
