Stunning fleet of ‘time capsule’ cars in showroom condition for sale – including Rover Metro convertible & retro camper

A FLEET of "time capsule" cars have gone up for sale - including a Rover favourite and a retro camper.

The stunning collection of classics are all in near-perfect condition and have had just one careful owner for decades.

The range includes a 1997 Rover Metro convertible and a Peugeot 306 Carbiolet from 2000.

There's even a "factory fresh" 2016 Land Rover Defender, which is valued at £60,000.

The crown jewel of the set for enthusiasts, though, is the yellow-and-white 1971 VW Camper.

An iconic model known for its adaptability and distinct look, the VW is one of the most instantly recognisable cars on the market.

This one has been with the current owner for 52 years and has only averaged 519 miles per year.

Now in his 80s, the seller has decided to pass it and the rest of his collection on.

The van is worth around £20,000, which is pretty good from a vehicle more than half a century old.

The listing for the beloved vehicle reads: "Originally built by Danbury Conversions of Chelmsford, Essex, when new in early 1971.

"The interior has a stove and a sink built in along with seating that converts into bedding.

"The style is very early 1970s, almost impossible to find these days."

The collection will be sold as separate lots by in their sale in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, on December 6.

Prospective buyers can find details to attend online or bid remotely via the auctioneers' website.

It comes after a Mercedes coupe previously owned by a basketball legend hit the market last week.

Meanwhile, film fans had the chance to snap up the iconic number plate used by an all-time great Bond villain.
