The RS 3 arrived on the market in 2021 and was a huge hit with customers.

The car, which came in a hatchback and saloon version, offered astonishing performance levels.

Now the latest version of the motor is set to take on the Mercedes-AMG A 45 S.

And the vent behind the front wheel is still in place. The new version still has a large dual exit exhausts.

The new car features the same turbocharged 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine which propels the Audi from zero to 60 in 3.8 seconds.

Last year The Sun reviewed the RS 3 when Colin Robertson was shocked by the car's raw power.

Colin said: "The Audi RS 3 is a five-cylinder, 400hp German road rocket that will propel you along with such power and agility that for a few seconds you will literally stop breathing.

"You will spend every second of your drive wondering when you can safely floor it to experience an incredible double pop as the seven-speed transmission tears through the gears like claps of thunder.

"You’ll go cross country on a quiet Sunday afternoon and constantly amaze yourself at how well the quattro all-wheel drive lets you take corners, marvelling something called the RS Torque Splitter."

The new Audi Q3 was recently spotted on a test drive ahead of it expected release.

Photographers from Carwow managed to snap the upcoming SUV as it was taken for a spin near the brand's German HQ.

The images reveal that the model has been given a facelift in the process of converting it to an EV.

Most of the bodywork is covered by a grey-and-black wrap to avoid giving too much away.

But some new design features are still visible, including an extra-large grille and LED headlights.

The Sun approached Audi for comment.
