Abuse from ‘brainwashed’ EV drivers has left me fearing for my life… even though I own one too
A DRIVER has claimed he was left fearing for his life after receiving abuse from "brainwashed" EV owners - even though he has one too.
Lee, who goes by the name MacMaster on YouTube, said that his recent videos criticising electric cars have drawn the wrath of "evangelists".
In his latest upload, Lee, from Nottingham, went through some of the vile comments left by EV lovers on his .
One particularly angry user wrote: "You must have the IQ of a ten-year-old.
"The only thing you have proven in this video is how dumb you are."
Another chime in with: "You are an embarrassment to the EV community."

And a third potty-mouthed critic fumed: "Being honest this is without doubt one of the most boring videos I have ever seen in my life.
"If you don't improve this s*** content I will unsubscribe."
What makes all this more absurd is that Lee actually owns an EV himself, an all-electric Porsche Taycan which he bought several years ago, which he described as his "milk float".
He told viewers: "The electric car evangelists are an evil cult and their revolting threats have left me in fear for my life.
"Well, some of them are alright to be fair, but some of them are a little over the top.
"Electric cars for me, I don't think they're the future, I've experienced it for two years.
"I think eventually they will fall by the wayside."
Much of the anger stemmed from Lee's latest vlog series, which saw him race 600 miles from John O'Groats in northern Scotland to Lands' End in Cornwall, pitting his EV against his pal Geoff driving a diesel car from 15 years ago.
They concluded that it was both quicker and cheaper to make the trip in the diesel BMW due to issue with the UK's public charging network.
Lee also claimed that the value of his Taycan had dropped by thousands overnight after a major change in EV pricing.
It comes after data revealed a shocking rise in fuel theft from forecourts.
Meanwhile, a car dealer explained why many second-hand motor businesses are collapsing.
