Major sports car maker forced to cut production of new model in blow to iconic British firm

Aston Martin, one of the most iconic British car makers and beloved by fans of the James Bond film series, is facing production issues with its new DB12 supercar.
Indeed, the reads: "Given the initial delays experienced with the DB12 ramp up during Q3, we have marginally
updated our FY volume outlook as the impact limits production capacity for the full year."
However, Aston Martin maintain that demand for the DB12 is very strong, with production now running at the rates required to meet volume expectations for the year.

Aston Martin Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll, who's also the father of Aston Martin F1 driver Lance, said the launch of the DB12 has seen "extraordinary demand" and is bringing in new customers, with 55% of initial DB12 buyers new to the brand.
In a comment to The Sun, the firm said: "Aston Martin have reduced the number of DB12 by 300 this year - that means a change to our total forecast wholesales."
In racing news, Aston Martin recently handed Jessica Hawkins the chance to test an F1 car - making her the first woman to put an F1 car through its paces in half a decade.
Hawkins drove their 2021 car at the Hungaroring, the venue of F1's Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Brit racer alternated driving in the test run-out with Felipe Drugovich, the reserve driver of Aston Martin and McLaren and the 2022 F2 champion.
Meanwhile, fans of the brand will be amazed by the discovery of a £300,000 Aston Martin DB4 hidden away in a shed.
