World’s weirdest ‘motorhome’ is a converted HELICOPTER with enough beds to sleep four… but you’ll need a sleeping bag
THE Lynx Helicopter is a unique "motorhome" that can sleep four but guests will also need to bring a sleeping bag.
Located in Ream Hills Holiday Park, Lancashire, the military aircraft home is the perfect accommodation for adults and children alike.
The 1982 Westland Lynx XZ676 is one of the world's most unique motorhomes, after being converted from a helicopter to a full-functioning overnight accommodation.
History lovers will enjoy the story behind the chopper which once belonged to the British Army and was used during the Gulf War of 1990-1991.
The specially converted helicopter still has its original camo paint job with the Royal Air Force emblem attached to the side of the body.
With the propeller intact and the original windows left as they once were, guests are given the opportunity to let their imaginations soar as they camp in the historic aircraft.

According to the Ream Hills website, the accommodation "comfortably sleeps two children and two adults in a specially designed double ‘bunk’ at the rear tail".
It has been fully kitted out to provide a unique camping experience.
There is also a pull-out sofa bed for kids in the main body of the chopper along with a desk and TV in the pilot's cabin.
But guests have been warned to also bring their own sleeping bags with them for their stay as no bedding, pillows, duvets, towels and sheets are provided.

"These are not provided in this Glamping accommodation," the site wrote.
If this wasn't enough, the helicopter motorhome even has space to hold a sink area with a kettle, microwave, and mini-fridge.
Attached to an outer door of the helicopter is also a wooden decking area with a table and four seats.
The private area allows guests to enjoy drinks and dining with a view of the Lancashire countryside.
There is even an outdoor water park nearby where you can try paddle boarding and kayaking.
The helicopter does not include a toilet or shower, so guests are advised to make use of the nearby on-site toilet and shower block.
Glowing reviews for the accommodation have been left on the Ream Hills site, with one calling their stay "next level".
Another guest said: "Me and my girlfriend stayed for 2 nights for my birthday weekend, we had a great time and had never experienced anything like it before. Would definitely recommend".
A third commented: "Great stay in a unique helicopter. Staff at check and check out were very friendly and helpful. The helicopter and shared facilities were well maintained and very clean. A great stay".
One night with two adults and two children will set guests back £175.
Guests can book the stay via the Ream Hills website, but weekends already seem to be getting nabbed, so holiday seekers will have to move fast.
It isn't the only helicopter in the UK where you can spend the night.
For £58 a night, you can spend the night in a decommissioned Lynx helicopter that previously was used in Afghanistan.
The ex-Army chopper at RAF Wainfleet has a sofa that converts to a bed, a TV, underfloor heating, and a decking area.
You can also spend the night in a £5.4million helicopter once flown by Prince William.
The Sea King 137 was used by Prince William during his three years as a search and rescue pilot with the Royal Air Force.
