I live in my £800 Ford Fiesta – it’s better than living in my ‘disgusting’ flat… and it won’t impact my romantic life
A MAN has revealed he lives in his £800 Ford Fiesta PERMANENTLY - and that he's not worried it will impact his love life.
Yavor Dantzarov, 33, said he had been living in a "disgusting shoebox flat" when he came up with the plan to convert his car into a home.
The HGV driver said he had been less than impressed with the condition of the flat he rented out for £150 per week in Kingston upon Thames.
And so when his landlord kicked him out, he spent four days converting the 2001 MK405 Ford Fiesta into a home.
And he reckons it is even better than the flat - and won't ruin his chances at romance.
Yavor, who is single, said he manages to shower - accessing gym showers for £23 a month.
He has already visited more than 70 places across the south of England in his creation and is staying near Bournemouth.
“I’m a driver in my soul… I just like to drive and be on the road,” Yavor, told PA Real Life.
“No more houses for me, I’m finished with that. “For me, having four walls around you is like a prison and you have to pay for this – no thank you.”
Yavor, from Eastbourne, East Sussex, has said he will never go back to renting an apartment after spending the past six weeks living in his new home on wheels, which he bought on Facebook Marketplace for £800 and converted for less than £1,000 – most of the conversion money going on a new speaker system.
