Drivers go wild for sun visor trick to de-ice windshields in seconds… and it’s completely free
DRIVERS are going mad over a genius tip which de-ices your windshields in seconds - and doesn't cost a penny.
TikToker Scott McGlynn shared his method online and has wowed users, as they don't have to lift a finger.
He gushed: "I found this trick, and I have to show you guys. Right now, I'm in my car, the heaters are on, and my car is iced over like mad.
"Let me just show you this little tip. As you can see, I've got the heat on."
Scott went onto explain that if you let the heat circulate around, nothing will happen - it will blow over your head and throughout the car.
He continued: "But if you get the visors down, put the heaters on full blast, it'll get rid of it much quicker for you."
Within minutes of putting his sun visors down, Scott's windshield was ice free and he was ready to get on the road.
The genius trick left one user stunned, who commented: "Going to try that in the morning... will keep you posted."
Scott replied: "How did you get on?"
The shocked car owner said: "It REALLY worked. So surprised!"
Another TikToker shared her de-iceing hack, which costs only 16p at Asda and will save you loads of time.
For this hack, you will need an orange - which cost just 16p each at Asda - and a microwave.
You just need to microwave the orange for less than a minute and then rub it on your car's windscreen.
Surprisingly, the ice on the windscreen melts away in seconds.
The video's title reads: "Wow! Didn't know you could use an orange!"
While the caption reads: "Frozen car windscreen life hack."
Some viewers loved the hack, with one saying: "Great tip!"
But most viewers seem more concerned about the man's microwave, which looked extremely dirty.
One said: "It's probably the bacteria on the orange that's melting the ice."
There's plenty of other hacks to quickly de-ice your car.
One nifty trick is filling a zip-lock bag with hot water and rubbing it over the windscreen and windows.
