THEORY OF EVERYTHING

Only the smartest drivers can work out what all these road signs mean – how many can you get right?

THERE are more than 51million drivers in Britain – but how many of those know the meaning of the signs we see on our roads?

Just 18 per cent of existing motorists reckon they would pass their theory test if they took it again, a poll by AA Driving School reveals.

And the news is just as bleak for beginners.

The number of wannabe drivers nailing the theory exam has plummeted to its lowest level in 15 years, from 65.4 per cent to just 44.2 per cent.

It seems learners are struggling to crack the Highway Code and get the green light to jump behind the wheel.

Before your next trip, take our quiz to see if you know your signs – or if you need a steer.
