AN EXPERT mechanic with over 50 years' experience has told his subscribers how to stop their car from overheating.
As temperatures creep over 30C, motorists will be eager to do whatever they can to keep their vehicle cool.
Scotty Kilmer posted a clip to his channel lifting the lid on what you can do to prevent your car from becoming too hot.
The motor guru tells viewers to first use a pressure leak testing kit to check the radiator fluid for any leaks.
Scotty assures those who don't have the equipment hanging around in their garage that they can "buy them used for around £25" while newer models retail "for around £55".
Once that's done, Scotty swears by checking your cooling fans by switching your engine on and "turning the AC to full blast".

If both fans are whirring, it means enough air is being sucked through the radiator to prevent the engine from overheating.
Scotty concluded with a ralling cry for those struggling with their overheated engine.
"So the next time your car starts overheating, don't get mad," he told his subscribers.
"Get onto the hood and fix it!"
