Issues with the EV's electric features can lead to faulty electric doors and dwindling temperature sensors.

The latter is especially important, as malfunctioning sensors mean that drivers can't detect problems with the vehicle's battery.

If it requires replacement beyond your warranty, a new battery could cost you up to £15,000, according to .

It comes after Tesla summoned 130,000 vehicles from four car models in May 2022 following an overheating issue that may cause the centre touchscreen display to malfunction.

A few months later, the company scrambled to recall over one million motors from three models to fix an automatic window problem.

Elsewhere, fuming Tesla drivers in South Wales have claimed to be sick of paying hefty charges at the UK's most expensive charging station.

Tips to keep your battery healthy

Keep your car at an average temperature
Extreme hot or cold temperatures can affect the battery's lifespan.

Avoid fast chargers
A slow charge will always be better for your car in the long run.

Don't rush
Avoid charging your car straight after a long drive.

Instead give the batteries chance to cool down first.
