A MUM-OF-TWO has revealed three reasons why she won't buy an electric car.
Hundreds of thousands have already made the switch to electric vehicles (EVs) of some type, as the world starts to move away from traditional petrol and diesel engines.
From 2030 no new petrol or diesel cars will be sold in the UK.
But Christy Bieber believes that electric cars just won't work for her lifestyle.
The first reason stopping her from purchasing an EV is because there aren't many good used ones available.
Christy said: "Unfortunately, since electric vehicles are newer to the market and people tend to keep them for a while, there are not a lot of used ones available.

"This makes it harder to find a vehicle that's been pre-owned and raises the price of the existing used ones out there due to low supply and high demand.
"Since I can't get a good deal on used electric vehicles and probably won't be able to for a while, I'd rather avoid them entirely."
She also explained that her family needs a large vehicle with two kids, a dog and a stroller wagon, as well as driving around grandparents.
A large electric SUV is not currently available and none are set to be released.

Finally Christy and her family like to take very long road trips on a regular basis.
Camping in remote locations could pose problems when trying to charge an electric vehicle.
Christy explained her three big reasons as part of a first-person narrative published on .
It comes after Tesla owner Will Lee says he is disappointed with the US brand because of its lack of comfort and handling.
And he said it was not up to scratch compared to the Chinese manufacturer Nio.
