AN EXPERT has issued an urgent warning to electric car drivers about a serious problem with EVs.

Jake Moore of security experts ESET said criminals can steal the personal data stored in your motor.

Your email address, phone number and credit card details could all end up being sold to fraudsters on the dark web.

Expert Jake told the : "Malicious actors are looking to abuse the potentially weak on-board technology.

"So much new technology is designed with one thing in mind – speed of manufacturing.

"Security gets pushed out and the devices are often left riddled with present and future flaws."
