Audi RS6 owned by huge 80s music star could be yours for an eye-watering price

AN AUDI RS6 owned by a huge 80s music star could be yours for an eye-watering price.

The estate car is on sale for £42,500 - and the dealership in Bedlington, Northumberland says it once had a celebrity owner.

WMA Motors claims that Spandau Ballet guitarist and songwriter Gary Kemp used to own the slick motor.

With only 58,300 miles on the clock, the black five-door Audi is in fine condition.

It comes with four-wheel drive, power-assisted steering, a powerful V8 engine and a top speed of 155mph.

The car's luxurious interior perks include 12-way electric seats with lumbar support and leather armrests.

The website gave the Audi RS6 a four-star rating, with its "incredible performance, huge practicality and luxurious interior" singled out for praise.

But the RS6 has its setbacks, with the website adding that it is "expensive, costly to run and slightly lacks in driving involvement."

Another famous RS6 owner is Prince Harry, whose model came with a panoramic sunroof, carbon-fibre detailing and Daytona Grey paintwork.

Harry drove his then-girlfriend Meghan to Pippa Middleton's wedding reception in 2017 - before putting it up for sale through Auto Trader with fewer than 4,500 miles on the clock.

The Sun's road test found that the RS 6 is the perfect getaway car - but it doesn't come cheap.

Gary Kemp also used to own a gold 2002 Jaguar XK8 coupe, which later sold for £7,000 at auction in Somerset.

It comes after a "time capsule" Renault Clio is set to sell for a whopping six-figure sum after doing just 1,872 miles in 18 years.

And thieves stole a vintage bright yellow MK1 Ford Escort worth £80,000 from a locked garage in a brazen raid.
