Ten most expensive cars sold at auction in UK revealed – including 1960 Ferrari 250 GT which made £7.7MILLION

THE most expensive cars sold at auction have been revealed - and one of them is a £7.7million Ferrari.

Just one of the massive records broken is the sale of a, which sold for £115 million in Germany in May - making it the most expensive car ever sold on earth.

And it fetched almost triple the previous record price for a vehicle set by a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO that went for more than £38.5million.

In the UK, the most expensive supercar sold at an auction was a Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta auctioned off for £7.8million.

Car valuations experts at UK have revealed the most expensive cars auctioned in the UK.

A Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Competizione was sold by Gooding & Company for a whopping £7.8million.

And it became the most expensive car to sell at a live auction for two years.

The former owner had kept the V12-powered Fezza for the previous 20 years and had just received a thorough restoration.

The Bugatti Type 55 is a sports car produced by Bugatti from 1932 to 1935.

It's a road-going version of the Type 51 Grand Prix car.

The Bugatti had a 108.3 in (2750 mm) wheelbase and 1800 lb (816 kg) weight.

It was sold for £2.9million by Gooding &; Company Hampton Court Palace sale in London.

The Bugatti Type 55 is a sports car produced by  from 1932 to 1935.

And type 55 was introduced at the 1931 Paris Motor Show, and that particular car, chassis 55201, was subsequently purchased by the Duke of Tremoille.

This vintage Buggati is one of only 38 ever produced.

This car was used in the latest Bond flick, No Time to Die, and the current owner paid £2.9 million.

But it isn't even possible to legally drive it on the road and its stripped-out interior isn't as luxurious and comfortable as the original DB5's.

The Lamborghini Miura is a sports car produced by Italian automaker Lamborghini between 1966 and 1973. 

Only 150 1971 Lamborghini Miura were manufactured.

And the colour of this supercar is a beautiful 'Miura Verde'.

One collector paid £2,058,125 for this supercar.

The Porsche 550 is a racing sports car produced by Porsche from 1953 until 1956.

And, in that time, only 90 Porsche 550 were produced.

This particular car was completed on February 2, 1956, and it was used for a promotional image outside of the Porsche factory to demonstrate the wide range of colour options available.

The winning bid was a monumental £2,025,000.

LaFerrari, project name F150 is a limited production mid-engine mild hybrid sports car.

According to RM Sothebys, only 499 similar cars were produced.

As a replacement for the Enzo, it was unveiled during the 2013 Geneva International Motor Show.

The Ferrari Enzo is arguably the most special example of the ground-breaking halo model built in honour of company founder Enzo Ferrari.

The 2002 Enzo has been well taken care of – being of the possession of just two owners and has been serviced several times.

The car featured just 17,474 kilometres on the odometer.
