Taking to Instagram, the driving instructor asked what three red and white markers mean when you spot them driving.

One of the markers has three red line across it, the one next to it has two and the third has one.

And in the clip, while the student is initially stumped, the answer is made clear - with the markers meaning a driver is approaching a concealed level crossing.

Binning's popularity online appears to be a symptom of how tricky the theory test can be.

The instructor, who started the DGN Driving School in 2014, has racked up a million followers and amassed 45 million likes on TikTok.

And he regularly shares tips when it comes to passing your driving test.

The pass rate in the years between 2008 – 2020 gradually dropped from 65.7% to 47.1%.

The most recent pass rate recorded for driving theory tests in the UK (for the year ending 2021) is 55.7%.

This means nearly half of candidates will have to re-take the test before being eligible to book their practical exam.
