Rare Ferrari abandoned in garage and thought to be last unrestored example goes up for sale for a staggering price

AN INCREDIBLE classic Ferrari has gone up for sale after being abandoned in a garage.

The 1962 Ferrari 250 GT Series II Pininfarina Cabriolet is thought to be the last unrestored example on the planet.

The reason for that is the car's rarity - only 200 open-top versions of the 250 GT were ever made.

Then there's this particular car's originality; its engine and all its panels have matching numbers.

The car was originally blue rather than silver, but its factory red leather interior is still there.

The advert reads: 'Chassis 3051 has a factory completion date of November 25, 1961 and is the 152nd of a total of 200 units built.

'It was first registered in Milan, Italy to its first owner.'

'In 1971 the Ferrari was exported from Europe to New York, NY USA. Today, this 250 PF Cab is ready for a straightforward and well-deserved restoration.'

The 250 GT has a large V12 engine and was designed as a long distance cruiser for the rich and famous.
