Abandoned classic Ferrari found in garage after 40 years is set to fetch a staggering amount at auction
A CLASSIC Ferrari discovered in a garage after being forgotten about for 40 years has been dragged out and is up for sale.
The rare 1964 Ferrari 330 GT is one of only 20 right-hand drive models imported to the UK and is set to fetch £70,000 at auction.
Now, 51 years after buying it, Mr Marshal has decided it is the right time to sell his Ferrari.
The 330 GT has its original 300bhp V12 engine which has 43,000 miles on the clock and is expected to spark a bidding war at auction house Dore and Rees of Frome, Somerset.
Nick Wells, specialist at Dore and Rees, said the sale offered a "rare opportunity" for enthusiasts to restore a classic Ferrari.
He said: "Only around 40 right hand drive GT Series 1s were imported to the UK to begin with - these were expensive cars which not many people could afford.

"In the 1980s and '90s a lot of them were broken up to make replicas of more expensive cars.
"As a result, very few have survived. This one could easily have been scrapped or re-bodied into something else.
The Ferrari is being sold on Saturday 8th October.
