Watch as van driver uses a driveway to turn around causing £1,000s of damage – before driving off

A VIDEO uploaded to Instagram has caught a shocking moment a van driver got it all wrong.

Uploaded by Instagram user @simonbrano, the video shows what happens when you aren't paying attention.

The video starts with the sarcastic caption 'The Best London Driver Ever,' with what looks like to be a CCTV video of a driveway.

Before long a 'Luton' van can be seen coming into shot from the left before stopping.

It begins to reverse back into the driveway, clearly using it to turn around before heading off in the other direction.

The driver manages to thread the big van backwards through the pillars and up onto the driveway, but what happens next is shocking.

The driver hasn't left enough room on the right hand side of the van and once it begins moving forward and turns left, it catches the iron gate.

The Van driver pauses initially as the van struggles against the gate, but rather than stop and get out to check, they just keep going.

In doing so, it pulls down the gate and the entire wall it's connected to with it.

At this point, you're expecting the van to stop but no, it just carries on turning left and disappears around the corner.

People took to the comments to give their opinion on the van driver.

@milldogg_ said: "People get into a LWB van without knowing about overhangs. The common motorist doesn’t even understand vehicle dimensions at all tbf."

@chucklesmagoo said: "f he'd taken his time and backed up a bit after it got caught, he could have dropped the wall back in place and got out without anybody knowing!"

While @building_stronger_memories said: "Not poor building work at all, just p**s poor driving and a pretty predictable out come when a heavy vehicle pushes against brickwork/"
