Horrifying pics show aftermath of £250,000 Ferrari supercar smash
THERE can't be a much sweeter feeling for a petrolhead than collecting the keys to your shiny new supercar.
But there can't be a much worse feeling than running out of ability and putting it in a ditch.
That's exactly what happened to the unfortunate owner of this Ferrari F8 Spider in Italy.
Pictured on Instagram, the Ferrari is reportedly brand new, and will have cost the owner around £250,000 after the additional options we can see in these images.
The post reads: "Well... Looks like a brand new Ferrari F8 Spider just crashed in northern Italy, near Cortina D'Ampezzo.

"Police say the driver lost control of the car in the middle of a sharp turn and crashed into a truck before ending its run on the side of the road.
"The F8 looks pretty damaged but luckily both drivers seems to be fine."
Sadly, it's very unlikely that the Ferrari will be able to be repaired following the smash, with much of its driver-side rear quarter missing.

Meanwhile the truck it hit looks far less damaged is probably able to live to see another day after a bit of work.
The Ferrari F8 Spider is an open-top convertible version of the Ferrari F8 supercar.
It has a turbocharged 3.9-litre V8 petrol engine making a massive 710hp.
That allows it to sprint from a standstill to 62mph in just 2.9 seconds and carry on to a licence-losing 211mph.
